He and his wife Edna are among the few permanent residents of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Heimo Korth was born and brought up in Wisconsin, U. S., on the 17th of April, 1955. However, his real education came during his exploits in the woods. Heimo and his wife-to-be met back in the winter of 1975 in Savoonga.
