Motorists on the Major Deegan Expressway northbound and on local streets south of 149th Street should use the Third Avenue Bridge at East 133rd Street; Motorists on local streets north of 149th Street or in the north Bronx should use the Macombs Dam Bridge at East 161st Street; Motorists on the southbound Major Deegan Expressway should continue to use alternate crossings such as the Third Avenue Bridge or the Triborough Bridge (toll facility).
